It has been hundreds of years since the invention of glasses. We can say that glasses now play a very important role in our daily lives. Students wear glasses to make out words on the blackboard if they are not in the front of the classroom. Adults wear glasses to make them more knowledgeable. Even girls wear glasses only to become fashionable. But the very purpose glasses are invented has never changed: To make people see clearly.
Have you ever had such an experience: One day, you were walking on the street? Suddenly you saw a girl in front of you who is pretty stacked, but you can’t see her face clearly. You were so excited that you took out your glasses to make sure if she is the most beautiful girl that you have ever seen. But you were so disappointed the moment you see her face…… Would you regret at that moment? If didn’t do that, maybe it could be a fancy dream for you to taste. However, you destroyed it yourself. It is sure that glasses do help you see clear, but do you still think that it is necessary or always good to make one thing clear?
Suppose you are a clerk, one day you see your superior meeting a businessman and receive some money for him, what would you do? You are not powerful enough to sent him jell, but you feel awful and unhappy to be with such a man. Then you will find that it is not always good to make every thing clear. Of course it is never wrong to pursuit beauty and it is never wrong that glasses are invented. But as you can see, glasses are transparent. That means though they can help you see more, help you see farer, they can not filter the things that you do not want to see. You have to choose what you need and what you do not need, what will benefit and what will harm, or you will be disturbed by them.
It is the same in reality. As you are growing up, you have more chances to get in touch with the society. You will see and experience something that you have never heard before. Your growth is like the glasses, bring you more accesses to the reality, and make you know more by helping you see more. Then you have to control yourself. You should not be misled, or you will lose yourself.
I also wear glasses. Thanks to the lesson it gives me. |
